Estates Plus Campaign meeting 18th June 2008, Pitcairn House, Mare St, 7pm (Corner of Mare Street and Loddiges Road)

Estates Plus is Hackney Council's plan to sell off the (Their Quote) "Underused land" on estates to
Housing Association for redevelopment.  What is underused land? Inevitably, It is going to be the green spaces, playgrounds and car parks.

The Council's aim is to initially target the Frampton Park Estate in Homerton. The Estate Plus Team are to restart their "Consultation", on the estate on the 1st of July 08.

Frampton Park  Estate is a large estate with some 1500 homes, more currently planned and if Estates Plus goes a head still more to be added in an already overcrowded  area. Need-less to say no thought or mention is made of the strain this will put on the overstretched infrastructure,
school places, medical services, etc.

The aim is a mass protest and boycott of the consultation on Frampton Park. On the 1st of July (time to be announced).

If we can defeat this iniquitous plan on Frampton, we should be able to role it out across the whole borough, and save our other estates.

Some of you may remember when this programme was first announced at the end of 20006, a  very successful meeting was held on the Trelawney Estate in January 2007 to initiate the protest.

Please spread widely and come to the meeting...
