No to Estates Plus demonstration, Hackney Town Hall, Wednesday 17 September 2008, 6pm Print E-mail
Friday, 12 September 2008

Frampton Park Estate tenants and residents and supporters from the Estates Plus Action Group (EPAG) will be lobbying a full council meeting at Hackney Town Hall to urge them to abandon the overwhelmingly unpopular Estates Plus programme, in which Hackney Council plans to sell "under-used" land on estates for new housing development.  Residents, instead, would like to see more green spaces and facilities for the young and old, instead of more concrete in an already overcrowded space.

There will also be a formal deputation to the meeting where a resident representative will explain to councillors why Estates Plus is a minus for residents.

Estates Plus is not just an issue on Frampton Park Estate.  Support welcome from everyone ...
